BCR Greg Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 A customer just traded this in today, he removed the assembly and went two humbuckers 20+ years ago, this has been in a drawer. 5 way switch added, otherwise all stock. Pots and pickups stamped 1974. Impression of a 3" peace sign evident on face of guard. Staggered pole gray bottoms, 5.2, 5.3 and 5.5 ohms, neck to bridge. Pics available.$1k or it goes to ebay for obscene money.BCR Music 717.730.9775 Ask for Greg.
cmatthes Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I thought every big headstock Strat from the late 60s thru 79 had to have "Jimi Vibe". That's what I read on another forum or two and in a lot of dealer ads!Could they be mistaken?
BCR Greg Posted December 9, 2005 Author Posted December 9, 2005 Clapton's "Blackie" Strat has 1972 pickups in it, so anything is possible...
