Where can i get a 2nd gen Cruisebass truss rod tool?

I got a bass a while back but hve been too busy with work to put much time into it. Its in great condition but the neck has so much relief the there is more than half a centimeter at the 12th fret . I really hope that doesn't mean there is something wrong with it. Really want to get some playtime in but its a pain with such high action and heavy strings. Thi is my first full scale bass so this may be the norm for all i know.

Sounds good. Any idea what case may fit it? Wouldn't need to be fancy. Its just that winters here are cold and my place gets a bit drafty.

I bought a used bass that needed a truss rod adjustment. None of my wrenches that came with other instruments would fit. I wasted several dollars ordering various truss rod wrenches from the usual suspects--Stew-Mac, AllParts, etc., but the bullet-shaped housings were too big to fit in the routed cavity in the headstock.

Then I had an epiphany and found the answer for free in my tool box. And if you don't have one, get it at Sears or at any hardware or auto parts store. The right one will slip right over the nut with less drama than a standard truss rod wrench, and the 12 notches in the wrench make it easier for the wrench to grip the nut. Just be careful; the longer handle provides much more leverage to overtighten the rod, but you can avoid that my NEVER adjusting more than 1/4 turn in any adjustment session. Then you need the neck to settle in to the new tension before trying another adjustment. Or you can bang the neck joint on your knee to get to snap into place right away. That's what Leo Fender used to do.

It just occured to me that maybe a previous user put on heavy strings and didn't adjust the tension. You may solve your problem by simply putting lighter strings on it, which will lower the tension and with it, the action at the 12th fret.
