Brentrocks Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Well, what do you know! Another Kramer nut aboard this ship. Congrats and welcome! Ha, indeed. My first postings were on the Kramer board many years ago, but I've branched out since then. I had like 8 Kramers at one point. Down to 4 now. Rock on, Jim Well, as a former Kramer fanatic who converted to Hamer fanatic, I welcome you and say, once you've gone Hamer, you'll never go (back) Kramer. Seriously though, Hamers rock! your collection gives me a chub
diablo175 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Thanks, my friend. The only issue with Hamers is there aren't that many in the market. You'll find the imports all day and USA diablo's but the USAs in good condition are hard to come by. The sunbursts look cool, and really nice but I prefer the super strats...if you ever want to sell one of yours with boomers I'm interested. There's a nice red one on ebay but it has a cracked headstock repair, etc. Even with my Chaparral in this thread, the body was not acceptable with the amount of damage. I only kept it because the neck is in great shape, now I have nice guitar but not without additional cost, time, effort and shock of what I received that was not disclosed. I go agree though that Hamer's seem to be better builds than vintage Kramers for the most part. Rock on dude. Hasn't stopped me. I've scored numerous Hamer's in the last 7-8 years. All said and told- 12 USA Cali's including 6 Limited Editions, 3 custom orders, two of which are set-necks, 2 Elites, and an as yet unidentified Elite w/ a reversed head stock, possibly another custom. In addition, I've snagged a Blitz, an SS, a custom order Vector and 4 Diablos, including one with rare boomers in a ebony neck. BTW- the CO Vector's for sale

All my Kramers went bye-bye in the early 90's. LOL But then, I never really caught the Kramer bug the way I did with Hamers. Most likely because they were impossible to find once Grunge booted Hair Metal, shred, neo classical, et al to the curb and I had little if any disposable income at that time.
