JimiH Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Ok my Diablo's G string has started to buzz when played open or at the 13th fret. Did some research and people say shim the nut. I removed the locking nuts and the buzz is gone. I'm thinking get a new one, nut that is as I suspect its worn out?Any ideas?Geoff
RobB Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 You can try flipping the g/d clamp 90deg. The undersides get rutted after a while. Also, during your next restring, try loosening the nut mounting screws and reseat them. And a shim is not a bad idea. It worked for my Charvel.

ptm1diver Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 You know you are getting old when your nuts are worn out and you start to buzz about.
RobB Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 You can try flipping the g/d clamp 180deg. The undersides get rutted after a while. Also, during your next restring, try loosening the nut mounting screws and reseat them. And a shim is not a bad idea. It worked for my Charvel.I meant 189deg, but you got the idea. Oops.
