As in "Never Say Never Sell Guitar Day".

Okay, over the past several weeks, I have let loose of a Triple Threat, A 25th Ltd Edition, a Redwood Studio Custom and THAT quilted Newport with the three TV Jones pickups. Oh, and a blue quilted PRS DGT (Wood Library, with korina neck and BRW board.

Guess you could say I have made a down payment on my plan to reduce "head count" by at least a dozen guitars and a few amps.

Good news----All went to folks here. Sobering news----I am fairly confident none of them will be turned over any time soon. ;)

Congratulations, all sweet axes I admire your ability to pull the trigger. I'd like to sell 15 or so guitars but have purchased 5 more in the meantime 👀, every time I get one ready to sell I play it and remember why I bought it and don't end up selling it. What's the secret?

Wait; didn't you just get that 25th Ltd? Anyway, the fewer guitars I have staring at me demanding to be played, the happier I am. I feel very fortunate to have bonded so well with my Studio Custom and Suhr Classic Pro. But I'd still like to find a Tele I like as much as my Suhr ( if that's possible) and a fun shredder for when the mood hits (that last desire currently being filled by a great Diablo II).

I should know by now that the "comings and goings" around here can get confusing!

I DID, in fact, pick up both a 25th and Artist Ultimate from the consignment lot at Gruhns. I already did have one of each. And, if I do say so, I looked for a LONG time for each of them! So, all of a sudden I had a pair of each. And I started counting how damn many guitars I have, knew Ken was looking for some nice pieces, so.......

Doing the math, I still have two of the Ultimates. I reckon I will (sooner or later) loosen my hold on one. But I suppose I will spend some time with them to see IF I develop a favorite of the two. So, no rush. As to the Redwood. A REALLY sweet guitar. The stock pickups (IMO) are a great match. However, I find myself playing (and loving so much) a Huber Redwood (which, no small thing, has a Brazilian neck and board). It is chambered, light, plays great and has a big "hi-fi" sound. Pretty much as sweet a voice as any guitar I have ever played. So, that made it a wee bit easier to let the Hamer go. And when Jamie proposed a trade for that Fuchs ODS amp, it was even easier. (One HELLUVA amp, BTW!)

Yep, there are many times I think (well, KNOW) I'd be better off in multiple respects if I had fewer guitars. And I am, slowly, working on it. Sometimes it is hard to convince myself to let go when I have what (at least to me) might be one of the "best of breed" for a particular model. And knowing I would be unlikely to ever replace it. And, yes, that DOES mean that they are NOT all out and in harness. That is bothersome, but somehow I manage to endure it.
