Series? Parallel? Batteries

OK, I'm pretty good with speaker and pickup wiring when it comes to the series/parallel question but...

Let's say I have two identical batteries.  I want to wire them up in such a way that I keep the same voltage but increase the current capacity.  Series?  Parallel?  I try to think this through and keep coming up with apples or flyswatters.

TIA

Parallel. Two batteries in parallel will result in the same voltage, but twice the current capacity. In series, you would add the voltage together and the current capacity would remain unchanged.

Be sure to change the batteries at the same time, as one low battery can tend to drain one good battery.

Wiring batteries in parallel will keep the voltage the same while increasing the amperage by the amount of batteries paralleled.

FYI: wiring capacitors in parallel will keep the working voltage the same while increasing the capacitance by the amount of capacitors paralleled.

Thanks.  This getting old shit ain't what it's cracked up to be.

Ain't THAT the truth!
