My favorite Hamer - a 1985 Phantom A7 - has been played enough that I'm having trouble keeping it in tune, because I've worn out its THIRD nut The first one was on it new, the second one was put on it one day when I happened to be near Alrington Heights, and the third one was ordered from the factory when I was having the guitar refretted (like I said, it has been played a lot!)
So - should I just get a blank graphite nut, or is there something available that will require less shaping?
