bubs_42
I did not need to see that today. Love the LP Custom, but haven't touch one that impressed me enough to buy it. Well, except a Custom Lite from the 80's. Hey it was great feeling LP.
BadgerDave
Jackpot! Codes are all CTS 0317 or 0318, so the guitar is almost certainly a 2003. A great year for mahogany at Gibson,as I recall. This is a holy grail guitar for me. A black beauty Custom with a huge '57 RI neck and big frets. It isn't a lightweight at just over 10 lbs., but it's manageable. Sounds fantastic with the stock pickups, which I assume are 57 classics. The only changes I plan on making are replacing the newish abr-1 and tailpiece with aged Faber tonelock units. Everything else on th guitar appears to be stock. Popped up unexpectedly at my local Guitar Center. Fortunately, they love to trade, and give decent value.
