Hamer Artist w 3 P90s -

Has anyone had experience with one of these beasts??

Curious how well they do the strat type thing in the 3 and 5 position.

I have an older USA Reverend with 3 p90s that does a pretty good job of getting the "quack"

Thinking of replacing that with an Artist.  The rev neck is the skinny side of medium to me, and have been playing it less and less.  The Artist has a better neck for my taste

Could have bought one, Korina version. Tried it. Great guitar. Sounded a bit different than my Artist Vanguard mahogany P90 Silver Sparkle. A tad cleaner and not as rude. Most probably the difference in pickups. Loved it. But I love my mahogany Artist as well, so I did not bother buying the more expensive 3 pup version. I'd say they are equal, the difference in tone - mahogany or Korina - is a matter of preference. Korina can be bitchin' great, no doubt about that. 3 P90s looks cooler. In the end it's all about how you look with the guitar strapped on. People listen with their eyes - as old mr Les Paul used to say. If you look cool with the 3 pup version, then buy it.
