Neck and frets are perfect, medium profile, a couple tiny marks on body and one 1/8" dent on back edge make it EXC rather Near Mint. I've had this guitar since '98, and it is a really good one. It has been played and gigged, but very well taken care of. Selling simply because I picked up another one with a humbucker in the neck which suits me better for live playing as all my other guitars are humbucker guitars.... Many of the T51s were ash, and some were extremely heavy. This one is alder, 7.2 lbs. I'd describe the tone as perhaps slightly smoother than a typical ash tele, still with plenty of tele twang but no icepicky bridge tones. Plus, it looks like Keef's... Sperzels, Lubritak nut, medium frets, Wilkinson bridge. Stays in tune forever. Duncan Broadcaster alnico II pickups are a perfect match and sound great in this guitar or I would have swapped 'em for Lollars. OHSC. $700 shipped, Paypal is good.
