tomteriffic Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Gotcher Mesa right here! Pains me to do this, I was REALLY hoping that this would get me where I wanted to go, but alas.... I got this in a trade from Zoner and have several hours on it, just trying all the 82 bazillion possibilities. It's a Mesa Nomad 45. 4 x 10 configuration EL-84 power. Three preamp channels that go from squeaky clean to not-quite-bowel-loosening Recto territory (think more Mark series). It's what a Super Reverb wanted to be when it grew up. 45 VERY loud watts, Jensen Reissue Alnico speaks, individual reverb controls for each channel, 5 button footswitch. Cool Solo function lets you step out for a lead without screwing with your overall tone. Power amp 'gonzo' switch on the back takes all the negative feedback out of the circuit and runs the power amp flat out. Excellent condition, one little pencil eraser sized divot on the lower lip in front, that's it. Zoner threw in some new JJ power tubes. I haven't installed them and will pass them along. One preamp tube (channel 3) *might* be microphonic, but at the gain levels it was howling at, it could have been the guitar, the reverb tank, or something. If that puts you off, I'll throw in a GT 12AX7 brand new. I DON"T want to have to ship this. If I do, it's going to the UPS Store to let them pack it and ship it and it'll be expensive. I'd much rather deliver or meet 'n' greet somebody in Ohio, Indiana, western PA, northern KY or deliver to the MWJ. The Ohio Guitar Show is a possibility as well, but that's a ways off and I'm hoping it's gone by then. That said, I need to clear $600 out of this. Add for shipping and/or paypal. Something like a modded Classic 10,000, y'know? The Riveras I've tried can get pretty close.
