crunchee
Just curious if anybody here uses them or has used them in a Tele? Opinions? Any suggestions/alternative PUs for a vintage-style Tele? 0 Jeff R
I put a set of La Breas in a client's guitar and he was happy with them. I'll also admit I like Seymour's A4 Tele bridge pickup better than the recipes I've noodled with winding my own A4 Teles. My personal favorite blueprint for Fender single coils in general are A5/A2 splits. A5 under the wound strings preserves the classic Fender tones we love and want. 2 under the GBE, however, preserves "good" treble while removing the harsh ice from which many Fender bridge position pickups, particularly Strats, suffer. 5/2 is a GREAT, GREAT direction to go if you want a rock or blues Tele in addition to a country Tele. If you want to stick with Seymour, here is his aptly named A5/A2 offering ... https://www.seymourduncan.com/single-product/five-two-tele 4
