  1. Firewire strings have the best lifespan and resiliency of any string I have ever used. I abuse the crap out of my strings and they've never let me down. 6 months to a year before a change usually. Great tone too. Find them here: http://www.firewirestrings.net/
  2. Oh yeah, she's a beaut!
  3. I owned an '84ish Scepter that was definitely war-worthy. That's a sad story though.
  4. Hot damn that guy's got some tasty chops!
  5. BubbaVO encouraged me to post an 80's pop tune I converted into death-metal. Katrina and the Waves - Walkin on Sunshine. I do this kind of crap for kicks in 2 hours or less whenever I get the chance although that's not often any more. And so... www.myspace.com/uncommonkirk It's all a joke to me and I hope someone else can get a chuckle too!
  6. I totally agree with Stray Cat Strut. MUST include the first solo in Ride On from AC/DC, and the bluesy-acoustic licks ala Marty Friedman at the tail end of High Speed Dirt from Megadeth. Might be slightly longer than the category will allow, but Harvest from Opeth has a fantastically tasty solo as well.
