very true. I'm not switching anything, but we were talking about a Lefty that was in a Pawn shop, it could be bought and turned around. Like I said, it was a 15 minute argument on the neck. He came up with this story of a tech in a shop near Chicago that had a strat that was flipped, and it warped the neck because of the string tension. Like I said, I know it was complete BS, but just wanted to be reassured.

Will turning a righty guitar into a lefty affect the Truss rod? I never thought it would, but got into a rather heated argument with a friend over it as he says it will warp the neck. I don't get it, but am always open to the fact that I could be wrong... So can it? What other mods other than the bridge would have to be done?

The opening A chord to Drop Dead Legs (Van Halen 1984 for those of you who don't know it) to this day inspires me to play and play with my wife at the same time. The sound of that, even after hearing it a bazillion times still gives me chills. Every time I hear it I feel 13 again.

HA HA... I was just in my local store yesterday, and I was listening to the owner talking to parents who were shopping for their daughters first guitar, they mentioned that thing. The guy had this stunned look on his face when the owner told him how big a pos that thing is, you could see the vein pop out of his forehead as he was talking. I usually don't interrupt when they are dealing with customers, but I had to jump in and explain to the guy that this thing is basicly some cardborad, scrap plywood etc. The owner after this customer left buying a guitar and amp, told me the same thing you just said. He's dreading Monday when all these yahoos bring in these things because they are unplayable and expect them to fix them.
