Lehle Parallel M. Buffered Paralllel Loop with Gain. I see this as a sweet and easy upgrade to a simple, unbufferd (unmanaged) In/Out effects loop in an amplifier. Send Gain/Return Gain and a Blend to balance them to your liking. Very high headroom. $140 shipped, PPF&F.

 

V.F.E White Horse Parallel Compressor. A horse of a different mother. Parallel in that you can blend the uncompressed signal with the compressed signal aannndddd then you can set the compression via Optical or Diode (2xN4148). After watching Pete Rudder’s video, I’m not sure if the internal dial sets a constant ratio between optical and diode compression, or if it sets the rate of diode domination over optical when dialing up the sustain…Mystery.
