Jimbilly Posted January 30, 2025 Posted January 30, 2025 looks to be a USA Limited ST, neck is dated '02. Custom paintwork (looks like a factory finish to me?) reportedly by John Douglas.
Jimbilly Posted January 31, 2025 Author Posted January 31, 2025 now verified as in house custom shop, nice guitar! The Limited ST is my favorite Peavey body shape. The pickups are nicely balanced, very stratty neck and middle, the hum must be a peavey product? So far I don't care for the Grover Rotomatic tuners; not always easy to get the string through, and I'm getting slippage from the G. 7 pounds 4oz, my 2nd lightest guitar I think. The fret ends are just a little sharp, but I only notice when I'm feeling for if the fret ends are sharp. The trem bar was missing (Hipshot trem), the 5mm from my old Ibz destroyer fits!, so I can just order another 5mm.
topekatj Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 Looks interesting, some additional photos would be appreciated. RE fret ends: perhaps the guitar is a bit dry = fret sprout, re/humidify necessary?
Jimbilly Posted February 3, 2025 Author Posted February 3, 2025 A poor quality photo of the whole thing. From what I'm reading, they had a 'custom shop' from early '02 to '04, and this being an '02 per the back of the neck photo) would have been from the Leaksville shop, before it moved to Meridian, - so it seems.
