diablo175 Posted August 7, 2025 Posted August 7, 2025 Phil makes a couple of good points I can relate to vis-à-vis volume control. Funny thing is, it's not like these are new revelations- but using the guitar's volume control specifically to alter tone is kinda handy. EVH achieved some of his clean tones by dialing back the volume knob. This is an approach I have been using of late, to good effect, in the cover band. In some respects, I think the volume control works better at adjusting tone than volume. For actual volume changes without change in tone, I use my expression pedal set as a volume control on the FM 9. I get true volume adjustment without losing the tone. Quote

None of my business, but how long you gonna be in that chair? 🤔 1 Quote

None of my business, but how long you gonna be in that chair? 🤔 It's been going on and off again for about a year. Struggling with diabetes and edema. on good days I can get out of it and use it as a walker if I lock the wheels for a workout or with the PT. I also wheel around the neighborhood some evenings for a workout. So I'm not wheelchair bound as in being an invalid, at least not yet. Just getting old and need to work on solutions for my sins against my body / temple. So to answer your question, hopefully with some luck, strict diet, and some exercise, it won't be permanent. 2 1 Quote
