diablo175 Posted September 13, 2025 Posted September 13, 2025 Just came across this company a few days ago and have been looking into them. Made in Maryland but headquarters in NJ. Interesting business model; doing only limited run (100 units) batches with different themes. VERY transparent about what and where the components/hardware comes from. Looks like they're using the USA made Floyds. Seriously considering one (they're all sold out of this current run) but would prefer to get one w/ more of my specs. I'd also like to play one before plunking down $3500. Truly custom orders are not yet available. Build times are around 90-120 days. The only question remains as to how good their pickups are. Can always swap them out but curiosity is still strong. https://www.badlandsguitarcompany.com/ 5 Quote
scottcald Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 (edited) It's that Tone King douche behind them. He tries to pretend it's a "factory" of Badlands, but it's Brubaker from what I've gathered and what I think that guy's one video showed, because it seems to be the area they're in. I used to drive through there a bunch. Just call Brubaker directly, IMO. Edited September 30, 2025 by scottcald 3 Quote
Dutchman Posted October 3, 2025 Posted October 3, 2025 (edited) Aren't Tone King and Freidman and a few others made in the same place? Seems I watched Dave give a tour, lots of stuff going on in that warehouse!! Edited October 3, 2025 by Dutchman Quote
scottcald Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 No, not this Tone King: This one: Dude makes way too much money as evidenced by the background there. PS - Don't get any tone tips from him. 2 Quote
