ZR Posted January 16 Posted January 16 (edited) Great interview! Been a King's X fan for decades. I think I've seen them live more than any other band. I have a lot of their solo music as well from all 3 great players. He discloses for the first time publicly, basically, about his terrible car accident and fight for full recovery. I saw this link in the comments. It's a guy playing the gear that Ty talks about as being his core tone from the first few albums; Lab Series amp (watch out, non tube sound incoming) and a Fender Elite Strat. Really sounds like the tone! Such a unique tone and Tys unique playing style!! Edited January 16 by ZR Non tube sound comment 2 1 Quote
Spinaltap Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I love King's X, I have been fortunate to see them a few times, they didn't disappoint... If you aren't familiar with Platypus or The Jelly Jam, check it out, It's Ty and Rod Morgenstein from the Dregs with some other top notch players 3 Quote
cmatthes Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Elduave and I caught dUg last weekend playing with a bunch of local Maryland superstars at a fundraiser. He did 4 songs (covers) but no KX, sadly. 3 Quote
