Somebody snag that Proto 12. I had one in Ice Pearl, one of the few I regret selling. Tone and playability are beyond belief, a true Ric killer.

I've played the buchered Special and the Prototype 12 at the Rockford store.

The Special is in rough shape, obviously modified, and not worth 1/2 what they're asking.  

The photos of the 12 string do not accurately reveal the condition of the guitar.  I didn't notice any structural damage, but it's been very aggressively used and shows a lot of finish wear.  If you're interested, I'd call and ask them for an in-hand description and close-up photos or a FaceTime once-over.
