Brian Scherzer Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Price reduced to $1450 for a great looking and incredible playing Hamer Newport Pro. I purchased this guitar on Ebay a few months ago for more than I am asking, but found that the medium neck carve is a bit too small for someone with very large hands. I have since purchased a Hamer Triple Threat with a beefier neck, so it's time to sell this guitar to someone who will play it!Images of the guitar can be seen here: Hamer Newport ProThe guitar has incredibly low action and is a dream to play.....no fret buzz, even at such low action on the strings. The tone is wonderful! Comes with ohsc and Hamer certificate. Will accept PayPal. I will only sell this guitar within the USA! I purchased the guitar in an Ebay auction from Atomic Music and found their description of the guitar to be accurate, so am pasting their description below:Acquired this guitar on trade. When I purchased it from the original owner, it was 100% mint. After having been on my sales floor for a short time, it received a few indentations on the back of the neck (I see 6 total right now) from clumsy customers. Now, it's 95% mint, I'd say, as it has some light surface scratches and marks like the ones on the neck -- these are absolutely nothing severe and I cannot even get them to appear in my pix -- they are purely cosmetic. This is a wonderful high-quality instrument, and so as to avoid any further injuries, I'm making it available for auction. The neck is very straight and true and the truss is like new. The frets are in great shape and show minimal wear. This guitar hasn't been played very much throughout its life thus far. This is an excellent American guitar!!Per the Hamer Custom Order Certificate, this is a description of the guitar's features:NEWPORT PRO• Completed On: July 26th, 2004• Color: Tobacco SunburstCustom Items:• Premium Flame Top• Ebony Fingerboard• 10 Victory InlaysFor specs and other product info, check out the Hamer Newport Pro website.Serial Number: 4 53420This guitar weighs approximately 7 lbs. 7 oz.

cmatthes Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Wow - I saw that one at Atomic (I was not the "clumsy customer" mentioned!!) and it is way nicer in person than even those pics.
Brian Scherzer Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 Well, strangely enough, after months of not thinking about selling the guitar since posting the ad, it sold today to a TGP member.

Brian Scherzer Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 OK, let me amend my post to say that it was sold to a person who is a member of both TGP AND The Hamer Fan Club!
