BadgerDave Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 I just bought a set of GFS Tele pickups from GuitarFetish. They arrived Monday and I haven’t even unwrapped them yet. I was going to try them in a Warmoth Tele project, but I’ve changed my mind and decided to go with a ridiculously expensive set of Joe Bardens instead. (Bardens are back in production and available at Acme Guitar Works if anyone’s interested). So the GFS set is for sale. Brand new, original boxes, untouched. I paid $70.00 plus shipping. I’ll sell for $60.00, shipping included (lower 48 only). PayPal is OK, I’ll eat the fee. I’ll take a personal check from an HFCer. (I’m the anti-Matt Ervin when it comes to payment terms). These are the pickup models I have (click on links):OVERWOUND-Fatbody-Alnico-Bridge-for-Tele-10KTele-Neck-Pickup-Alnico-GFS-I37
serial Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Hate to say it, knowing how good the Bardens are-but the GFS rails got me what I was looking for in the Bardens-maybe even better for me-I've always dug the Gatton Teles, but after seeing/hearing Brian Forsythe's (Rhinobucket) Tele in action, it was all over. Bardens are king, but a little too rich fer my blood. I got lucky and found a happy inexpensive solution with the GFS. Someone should pick these up and try 'em out!
edgar_allan_poe Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Harry Hauessel is also making the "Harry Barden" pups...I haven't heard them yet, but if his other pickups are any indication, it would be well worth checking out.
BadgerDave Posted July 20, 2006 Author Posted July 20, 2006 Jamie,E-mail received. The pickups are yours, I'll check on the 3-way switch when I get home tonight.Thanks.
