sw686blue Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Over on the Birds and Moon forum. Here's the link.I traded the Daytona for Mike's Standard. Super guy to deal with. The guitar is mint.
bassplayer6489 Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 E-mail sent to the guy. That is a great looking Hamer. I've been waiting for a Daytona in Seafoam Green for about 6 months. Brian
sw686blue Posted August 3, 2006 Author Posted August 3, 2006 Buy it. You will not be disappointed. It's virtually new.
bassplayer6489 Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 The guitar is still up for sale to anyone that wants it. I couldn't afford it right now, but someone else on this board should buy it. In a couple months I'll have the money . Brian
sw686blue Posted August 4, 2006 Author Posted August 4, 2006 Mike has reduced the price for the Daytona to $650 + shipping. That's a steal. You get 2 pickguards (1 white, 1 pearloid), 2 tremelos (the original Wilkinson and the latest from Wilkinson), 2 sets of pickups (original duncans and a set of GFS).If you're looking for a Daytona, don't miss this one. You won't find many with an alder body in seafoam green that are almost "like new" in condition.
Mike D. Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Hey guys! Guess I should have posted this guitar here first huh? Thanks for posting it here for me Nick. Appreciate the comments as well. Thanks very much. I swear I'll get that CD to you soon....life's kind of caught up to me lately. I really dig this guitar but our dishwasher went out on us and we need a new one (dishpan hands are no fun!). I guess that's what happens when you live in a 25 year old house, the original appliances start going on you (my furnace and washer/dryer have all went on me the last year and a half )... I should mention, only one trem will be leaving with this guitar as I have the other trem on the Fender I am trying to sell as well. If you want the original Wilky on the Hamer, I am more than happy to put it on and intonate it for you as well before I ship it out. I tried the original on this guitar and liked the new one much better, not as airy or pingy on the top end as the VG-100G trem (good call on that Nick!). Also, I have changed the nut to graphite, but I think I still have the original one if you want that as well. If anyone wants any additional pics, I'm glad to send them out ASAP.
sw686blue Posted August 4, 2006 Author Posted August 4, 2006 No problem on the CD Mike, I fully understand! Sorry about my mistake concerning the 2 Wilkinson trems. My bad.
Mike D. Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Still available. Couple people I'm waiting to hear back from but not on hold for anyone. Thanks!
