What's the difference of the satin finish compared to what Hamer normally does? Looks beautiful! Congrats George!

Okay, I just got back from checking out that bass right before Dave packed it up for shipping.  OMG, that's nice!!  That satin finish is damned cool in person, and that one is a nice groovy lightweight that VIBRATES in all the right places.

I probably shouldn't have done that, because now I REALLY want one...

Definitely a home runner, and the new owner is gonna be thrilled with this one.

It's here, and it's fantastic, :) and it's mine!!!

I've just spent the last couple of hours checking it out and comparing it to my original '59-burst Monaco Bass. This new bass is a monster tone machine. It resonates and rings like very few instruments I've ever played. I'll post more info, but I just had to say I got it, it's great, and Dave(elduave) was great to deal with.

Wow...congrats, George. Please tell me this one's going to make the trip to MN in Oct. I can't wait to hear it, play it, and leave some fingerprints!

You magnificent bastard! Congrats!

Much like Brooks is synonymous with the Duotone, George is synonymous with the Monaco bass. The two were made for each other. Looking forward to hearing you in action with it.

The satin finish just has a matte look instead of the high-gloss look for Hamer's normal finish. On this bass, it just looks like rock & roll. The whole instrument has a soft, black and white look that is a nice change of pace from my other glossy finish basses. Elduave had a vision on this custom order, and it turned out really cool.

Bruce, I already told Dave that this bass will make its formal debut at your party. I'm sure a lot of people will want to check it out and Dave is more than willing to order other Monaco Basses for people :)

Chris, I plan to post a comparison of the two Monaco basses when I get a chance (probably over the long weekend). They are more different sounding than I would have ever imagined. I'm actually glad that it turned out that way because it's a lot easier to have two similar looking but different sounding basses than to have two identical sounding ones. More to come... :)

Thanks for steppin' up George! You guys are great. :)

Right back at ya, Dave! We enjoyed hanging out with you and your lovely wife at your pre-gig dinner.

Thanks again to you for coming up with the concept for this cool bass. I can't say that I would have thought of this particular combination on my own.
