PSA: My first Hamer on eBay

I can tell because of the "birthmark" (3rd picture down on the right). Great guitar that I ended up selling because my Special sounded similar, but a little better to my ears.

How is that pickup combination? I know a Seth Lover is great in the neck, but in the bridge as well? Can you get it to bark with that set-up?

When I had the guitar, it had the 59-Neck/JB-Bridge combination. Then I replaced those with a Bill Lawrence L-500R in the neck and an L-500L in the bridge. So, I can't comment on how the current pickups sound.

Speaking of it. One day I did a ebay search (just out of curiousity) for an old Hoyer Explorer Bass that I sold some 12 years earlier. And there really was a Hoyer Explorer on auction. To my surprise it turned out that it was exactly my old one. I had my initials engraved in the truss rod cover and they were clearly visible in one of the pics. But given the fact that there was a reason I sold it back then I didn't want to buy it back. Also it went for more than double the price I sold it for.

Yup. I think it looks pretty nasty with those cream rings, but those are easy to replace and it's a no-reserve auction so someone could end up getting a pretty good deal on it.

that's on consignment locally, but would rather see go to a HFC'er.
