I play with Artimus and his band periodically. We are under the same management and booking. My Allman Bros tribute band, Soulshine, does package shows with them and it’s always a blast. Uncle Artimus is the real deal and one of my favorite humans, and Barry Lee is also the real deal and such a sweetheart. I’ve learned a lot about a lot of things from them and particularly their sound guy Russ T Nutz. The shows always sound *Really Good* and it’s a total Love Fest. I look forward to the next one. If anyone has any questions about the production aspect or anything behind the scenes I’m happy to help if I can.

Right On! The bulbous hard tips they come with are the worst for me. One drummer I know uses the foam tip replacements, like expandable earplug material - give those a look too. For me it’s also trying to find a balance of bass response and isolation. They’re cheap enough I’d try both the foam and the Xmas trees - I trim some off the trunk with scissors before I put them on the earpiece 👍

Several bandmates use KZ zs10s, which are like $50. They don’t fit my ears. But I’d guess the Kiwis are a fair comparison. I also use those Shure ones which are about $100-110, but they are far better for me in how they actually fit, but I don’t use the provided tips. https://a.co/d/0bpOyEXh I use these XMAS tree kind of tips and trim them because I can get the right fit without cramming lol: https://a.co/d/0hIZiqya Good luck 👍

The tech21 is terrific. I love my old Korg G4 but others don’t like the big footprint, for me it was better than the H&K rotosphere though both are top notch for guitar and keys. Only my two cents, but I actually find Non-Leslie warbly sounds on guitar more pleasing in general; maybe the term is faux Leslie? I never liked how any Leslie simulator played with gain pedals going into it, and also never liked the gain from the Les sim themselves. My earmark is the 80s Ibanez Sc10 oddly enough, with speed cranked and level at 40% or lower. They were meant to be used kinda the opposite way with a fat slow chorus (which canNot be beat in an 80s rock cover band setting lol) but I think far more useful the opposite way. The newer mini Ibanez chorus sounds pretty awesome like that, the mxr reissue yellow one-knob chorus sounds awesome for that John Scofield thing. There are also a ton of cool tones to be had using a fast tremolo and slow chorus or flanger in tandem, ymmv. That being said, the TC electronics one sounds dope if you’re going for Cold Shot etc 🤷🏼♂️😎👍 Have fun! 😁 Good luck on your search!

Absolutely! Have been using them for years. Below are the custom 1mm sharp blue ones you also like but with my Name logo on one side and the bat signal on the other, a couple regular .88 moto white from when I was a Hamer endorsing artist, and the backside of a purple .88 from my band Soulshine:An Allman Brothers Experience complete with mushroom 🍄 logo haha. InTuneGP has always been an awesome company and super great people to deal with, Chrissy and Bert LeCato. 👍

Buzz, Hum, Noise and Pedalboards

This might be really stupid, but also make sure you’re phone isn’t sitting on or near your amp, or where it can cause noise. Just an afterthought -
WTB, no rush, baritone guitar

This may be way too left field, but any interest in a Trans Scale Steinberger? It def has the trem and the light weight. It’s also got Joe Satriani’s autograph on it. Which will either be a benefit, or not lol, you can certainly buff it off easily. Lmk if I can help. GLw/Search -

That is a super cool project! Keep us updated! -
No shame in finding good ideas! I know this isn’t exactly what you’re asking for, but these are some really great ideas. First, the great Dan Erlewine showing how to properly change Acoustic guitar strings (the string wrapping section still applies to electric guitars): How to install Classical Guitar Strings: For the Whammy bar guys, Carl Verheyen’s technique for setting up a floating trem on a strat is AMAZING! In this video he shows how on a Squier or something and it’s pretty amazing how accurate it is. Check it out:
