DavidE Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 The live cd tells me it's time for Roger Daltry to hang it up. His vocals are terrible on some of the tunes. I had to laugh a couple of times it was so bad.It also came with a dvd which I've never watched yet.And I would have to believe that the cd was "fixed" to make Daltry's vocals as good as possible. Imagine how bad it really sounded...
Rechts Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 If your band is gonna hang around this long, it's probably not a good idea to have one of the significant songs from your early catalog include the line, "Hope I die before I get old".
serial Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Yeah, "My Generation", one of my fave Who tunes, turned into a ten minute exploration with Pete and Roger singing that line over and over. I started to think..."dudes, you're old. Are you saying you wanna Michael Hutchence or something like that? Pete made it a point to say several times how John E 'went quietly' of course being sarcastic". Pete was Pissy Pete last night too.
