Jimbilly Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 My tech friend (who knows his stuff) tells me that USA Custom is killing all competition with regard to quality, and there's some bigger names that source parts from USA-C for their own 'custom guitars', - a certain Mr. Lull for example. Way better than Warmoth, you can put together a guitar from USA Custom parts and it's not a roll of the dice, it's going to turn out good.

The necks and body that I have are awesome...they made it exactly how i wanted. I asked for loose grained 1 piece alder under 4lbs and they were more than happy to comply. the necks were done to my specs as well and are incredible. That being said, the only reason these are being sold is that I have come to the unfortunate conclusion that I am only comfortable playing Strats and other guitars just dont sit right for me.

hamersandstrats Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Pasqual, do you have the rest of the 400 series?
pasqual12 Posted December 7, 2006 Author Posted December 7, 2006 Pasqual, do you have the rest of the 400 series?Yes, I do have the rest of the 400. Shell Pink....bought off of an HFCer a while back.
hamersandstrats Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Yes, that would be me. That really was an awesome strat. I would be interested in buying the pickguard assembly if you were selling it.

I would be interested in buying the pickguard assembly if you were selling it.Yes, I do like the Strat, but after going back and forth about keeping or sellng it, i decided to swap the neck with something more chunky (and authentic strat head). If I decide to swap out electronics down the road, I will let you know and pass along the original electronics to you.
RichF Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 I've seen all this stuff in person. Typical great quality from USA Custom. The EVH body is really beautiful.Plus, John is a very cool guy to deal with.
hamersandstrats Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 I know what you mean. I just sold another 400 series because the neck is just too thin for me. great, great guitars though.
