jbay555 Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 i have a solid alder prs ce 24 in "player" condition for trade. the guitar is RELIC in a major way. i think its aging quiet nicely though. SERIOUS MOJO!!! the issues are all cosmetic and it sounds incredible. original hfs and vintage bass buckers. shes black with natural binding. forearm and neck wear from mucho playing. other issues are; no backplate and one of the screwdowns for one of the locking tuners is missing. i'm interrested in a hamer artist maple top or korina. also thinking about a les paul classic, custom, standard or gary moore. any questions offers or thoughts are welcome. this is my first post everyone. im new and so is my love for hamer guitars. just picked up a studio in an amazing 59burst at GC in knoxville TN for $510. and here i am : an instant fan.
cmatthes Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 The late 80s CEs are typically nice guitars. They don't pull the big bucks their fancier-appointed bretheren do, in ANY condition, but are good workhorses and were a decent bolt-on, especially since they used that orig. PRS trem (which I love). As far as "Pre-Factory" or "Factory" classifications, where I live (in MD), we call anything from 33 West St. "Pre-Factory", and the Virginia Ave stuff is "Factory". The post-95 are "Stevensville" or "Assembly Line" guitars.

SteveB Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Those solid Alder PRS's with the HFS's are rock and roll monsters.
