Up for grabs is a 2001 Carr Hammerhead 1X12 Combo, early production - 4/27/2001 serial #011.

Excellent plus condition w/ no cuts, tears, or rips. The color appears slightly red-orange in the photos, but is definitely red in person.

This is one of the ultimate EL34-based amps out there. 28 watts, all PTP/hand wired, with revolutionary tone controls that go beyond the normal TMB tone stack. If old school EL34 rock/blues tone is your thing, this will certainly blow your skirt up all night long.

You can check out the Carr website for info on the clever controls: Carr Website

Carr has released a Mk II Hammerhead with a little different control setup and a little more headroom, but it's basically voiced the same as this one. The cool part is - the Mk II is $1800 (street price). Saving a $1000 is good.

I bought this recently on Ebay, but in the continued spirit of my gear sell off, it's up for grabs. This is seriously one of the best El34 amps I've heard, and I actually prefer this little combo to some of the better Marshall 1/2 stacks I've owned (mostly JMP 50s and early JCM 800s). Don't be fooled by the 28 watts, this thing will get up and rock - you can easily gig with this amp (even with a heavy handed drummer). Hook it up to an extension cab and stand back.

Price is $825 shipped, which reflect exactly what I have invested in the amp. Payment by USPS MO or Paypal (you pay the fees) with shipping by DHL Ground (insured).

I remember Greg Germino gave this amp a really good review...... and that's saying something!

$825 shipped is a no-brainer.

Resistance is futile!

You can't beat this one folks - killer tone, portable package, highest quality, and a grand cheaper than new.

Plus, you'll make your buddies who lug around a 1/2 stack to gigs insanely jealous of the fact that your amp fits in the floorboard of your car!

Bill, wouldn't this smokin amp look good in your backline?

C'mon folks, gotta send the wife to the Caribbean..............

Ping Badger. He's assembling an assortment of orange-colored amplification.

He likes a bargain, and this is an incredible one.

Lots of nibbles here and the Gear Page, but nobody has ponied up cash yet.

I'd love to see a HFCer get this one.............

The Speaker is the original Kingpin 60.

I'd estimate the weight at roughly 35 lbs, but that's only a guess. It's pretty comparable to other 1x12 combos I've had, although not crazy heavy like Mesas.

I owned a Rambler once. Motor Trend's "Car Of The Year" in 1963. It had front seats that folded down to meet the rear seats to make a bed for ...uh...sleeping, yeah that's the ticket. My grrlfren and I just slept on it, I swear.
