@BoogieMKIIA Any mention and/or discussion of the new RT66 Jr amp?

Some guitar slingin' at NAMM. Montrose Remembered.
Bluesking replied to Saul Goodman's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
That's Keith St John on vocals - he was in a later version of Montrose for quite a while. He's also the singer in Burning Rain (w/ Doug Aldrich). I seem to remember he was in Kingdome Come for a bit, too. He's OK vocally - but that piece of toilet paper stuck to his right boot is pure rock and roll. -
John Sykes may be the most underrated rock guitarist in history.

Live at Budokan: Full Show!
Bluesking replied to Saul Goodman's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Sometimes I forget what a freight train rock band Cheap Trick was back in their prime. I'm breaking out my Budokan CD tomorrow and cranking the shit out of it. -
More Scorpions. Feat Rudolf in a tank top.

Good run, Mr. Osbourne. And now we wait for the inevitable Sharon-promoted pay per view event: Ozzy's funeral.

To me, the various bands playing BS cover tunes demonstrated the untouchable power, uniqueness, and chemistry of the original Black Sabbath. They gave it a shot, but it's impossible to replicate the Titans of Metal. Of course, being a mid 50s guy who generally lives in the past, I didn't recognize several of the performers and thought several weren't up to par. Nobody cares what an old guy thinks, but my opinion isn't what's important here. This event demonstrated the immense influence that Sabbath has wielded over the the last 50+ years, as manifested by the sheer number and variety of acts paying them tribute. That's a great thing. I don't have any idea why Ron Wood, Steven Tyler, and others who don't seem to fit the Sabbath mold were there, but I didn't book the show. Finally, it was cool to see the respect and admiration that Jake E. Lee received from his fellow musicians and fans.

"The Live Files" is a set of UFO tunes from relatively unknown ex-UFO members. Lawrence Archer does an admirable job here, and does the Schenker-era songs justice. I didn't know this band existed until recently. It obviously isn't any of the Mogg-fronted versions that we saw over the years, but for a massive UFO fan like me, it's fairly interesting.

And this is getting a lot of time on my stereo this week:

Today's delicious platter of rock guitar glory - it also has my favorite outro solo of all time:

The new record is also fantastic - now featuring Brian Tatler from Diamond Head on guitar.

Just received the two-disc set today - probably the best sounding bootleg I've ever heard.
