ZR Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 How are these different than the Randal ones? I mean, I suppose the rep is that it sounds better but does it? What does dual channel module mean? Sorry, I don't know much about these. Ty Tabor of King's X was playing through a Randal module amp when I saw them last and it sounded great!
Scooter Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 The Eggie stuff is handmade stateside with superior components. Does it sound better than the Randall? Well, that's up to your ears. I think it does. The dual channel modules allow the user to have 2 different gain structures per channel which is cool because it acts like a 4 channel head!BTW, I used to have a single-channel DLX module and it really did cop a Twin Reverb tone. I've heard good things about the SL2 and the MHG modules too.
Scooter Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Naw, it's made in Korea/China just like most amps nowadays. I think most of the modules are made in Minnesota, though.
kurtsstuff Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 Thanks Scooter! Yes...The Egnater does sound and feel better, I've owned the Randalls too and they are a good amp as well but...kind of a "copy" of this amp and are different.
