Just check this out ... http://www.jagshouse.com/auctions/amp4.mp3 Can you believe it? It makes me want to build one. Has anyone else out there come across this kind of stuff before? hepkat Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 In a small town south of me they have a Cigar Box Guitar Museum, a music store that specializes in custom models, a festival and other things. Here is one of the makers sites:http://www.tomiocbg.com/index2.htmlI tried one, loads of fun

We spend tons of coin on guitars/amps to get a tone that sounds like an instrument made out of a broomstick and cigarbox. These instruments sound good! I've got to dig up plans on building electried versions of these. It just doesn't get any more primal than this!
lonote049 Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 I believe the blues artist known as "Supachicken" makes and sells them. From what I understand they're available in Clarksdale,MS.

BubbaVO Posted April 17, 2007 Author Posted April 17, 2007 http://www.edencompanies.com/bogdon/ Ah, ye olde cardboarde boxe basse Dion I am ashamed. I know it's just plain wrong. But I like it anyway. Having said that, I'm not going to trade in my Chappy Super Strat (ssh & maple neck/fretboard & tobacco burst) for a Scooby Doo lunchbox slide guitar anytime soon.
