BCR Greg Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Just bought this from a fella that got it from the original owner. Nearly immaculate Gibson ES-125 from 1958. New strings and strap button, everything else is original. How this avoided the "parts raiders" is beyond me. The wiring harness and pickup are going for what I want for the whole guitar. Minor checking on the body only, none on the head and neck. It looks so good, you'd think it was a refin, but it's original. Take a look... $1599 with brown soft case.
DavidE Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 ..and if only it were $350.....Ha.... Anymore very few of my guit fiddles were anything near tree fitty. I'm actually considering this one.
DavidE Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 For $1599, LEARN to play Jazz!LOL.... I was thinking it might give me the motivation, even if I don't have the time. My son is a jazz fanatic. In fact, he's at a jazz camp in California, Pennsylvania this week playing sax (alto, soprano and tenor) and clarinet. He is getting much better and is an excellent sight reader. He often sits in with a great big band that plays here every Monday night and is really able to hang in there pretty well. His improv skills are improving. Because of him, I've listened to a huge variety of "real" jazz over the last few years and now have a real appreciation for the art. Just not the skill or knowledge.I could always play yazz on my newport or artist customs.
BCR Greg Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 You don't learn Jazz, you just forget how to Rock.
