Jazzerman Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Dudes,I feel my 1977 Hamer Sunburst belongs with a collector rather than with a player. This is one of the earliest Sunbursts ever made, maybe even a pre june 1977 NAMM show prototype.no serial number (!)Crown fretboard inlayspot code 1377716unbound neck end1977 longer style headstock1977 style bridgeThe guitar is in all original condition and comes with the original blue Hamer case which is in excellent condition. The back of the neck is finished in natural. She sounds awesome and still looks great. Many detailed pics of this classic beauty and more info at:http://community.webshots.com/album/333818252pzqiTOYou can view them full size for a good impression.Being such a historic piece, she only goes at a very good price. I am a jazz guitarist, so I will consider a trade with a Gibson archtop.Regards,Dick
Jazzerman Posted May 7, 2005 Author Posted May 7, 2005 How much would you sell it for? I'd prefer a trade with a vintage ES 175 or similar. Unless selling it would enable me to get one. If the perceived value of this guitar is below 2000 dollar I'll keep it. I was hoping a wealthy collector would show up here and offer me to trade his his 1954 ES 175 or his 1958 L5 for it No kiddingl, if it really IS a prototype it will probably be pretty valuable for a collector. Still, whatever it is, it is one of the earliest Sunbursts ever made. Dick
HamStd Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Hey Come on Chris, like any other guitar can compete with a "MC signature" sunburst, I rather doubt it!!!!!! (btw, thanks man).Peter.
