zorrow Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 I wonder if soft gig bags fitting to Epiphone and Gibson Vees would also fit to 80's Vectors. If yes, I would need one. Are there any for sale? I decided that I had better go to the gym instead of carrying my Vector around with its hard case.
peedenmark7 Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 if you change your mind I do have 1 empty '81 vec case laying that I'd let go.
zorrow Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 Thanks for the offer, but all my Vectors already have their respective hard cases. I just want a soft gig bag to wander around.BTW, I've seen some Flying V gig bags on eBay, but I don't know if they would fit to 80's Vectors. Can anybody tell me, please?
Steve Haynie Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Is it a good idea to put a guitar with an angled headstock in a gig bag?
peedenmark7 Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 only seen one vec with an angled headstock [nielsens].... but another is coming
Steve Haynie Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 I was thinking about the way Hamer headstocks tilt back, like most Gibson style guitars. For a straight headstock like on a Strat I see less of a problem.
peedenmark7 Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 ahhh, yea I personally wouldnt drag any quality name brand guitar around in a gig bag...especially a hamer...theyre so prone to neck breakage as it is... in a gigging situation its like playing with fire.
zorrow Posted July 26, 2007 Author Posted July 26, 2007 You guys know you're scaring the shit out of me, right?
