Metaltronix M1000/cab

I'd rather not ship it, but if I can ship umpteen cases of beer to Brewmaster, I can ship an amp. I gotta let it go to fund a new Korina Vector. I play my 800 more these days, anyway.

Lee Jackson Metaltronix M1000 100w tube head, retubed last year with JJ EL34s. 6 way adjustable Mid boost, adjustable power attenuator, Stage II gain boost. Zakk used Metaltronix in his early years. This thing is infinitely adjustable. If somebody wants to ship it, I can't imagine what it would cost, and I'd rather not since it's pretty hard to find a matching head/cab and I'd HATE for them to get messed up, or even lost. Anyway, feel free to ask any questions-I'm pretty rusty at this whole "selling" thing.

It's also listed locally here in San Diego, and if you're in the area, feel free to pm me for my number if you want to stop by and check it out.

Sweet hair, dude.

Asking $1450

I always thought these were cool amps. the "Killer Kab" is one of my favorites ever. Super loud and gritty head.

Had the rackmount preamp version for a while and liked it, but remembered I'm a bass player and didn't need THAT much guitar gear and sold it.

Best Wishes

Thanks guys. Am I asking a decent price? I mean, I know I can get more than $350 out of it(hahaha), and I've seen the heads alone go for $1000 on ebay before...

I still use the Ampeg version of this amp and LOVE it! I can only imagine how sweet this monster sounds.

Is the crate stealth version the same as this? I have one. Sounds killer for old metal.

Close, but not quite the same. I've never played the Stealth, but understand it doesn't have the same amount of gain available. I don't think it has the built-in attenuator either, does it?

I was pulling the power tubes for shipment, got distracted, and my cat knocked 2 of them off the top of the head...which was on top of the cab...which was on a wood floor...which was definitely hard enough to break them. Now I've gotta get a new set and get it rebiased...money's tight, but not tight enough for me to try to sell a head that doesn't work.

Well, I see in the manual I can remove the 2 center tubes and run it at 50w as long as I change the impedance switch from 8 to 16 ohms. I'll try that. Maybe I'll end up liking it enough to leave it a 50 watter and not sell it after all...
