atquinn Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 What do you think a fair price is? thxpsIs there much of a diff between a reg artist and a 25th aniv model?Don't know about the pricing, but a 25th anniversary is basically an Artist Mahogany (aka Artist Vanguard). I'd personally pay more for a silver sparkle Vanguard than for a 25th anniversary because you can still get a mahogany Artist in cherry, but not in silver sparkle.-Austin
HamerArtist Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Silver sparklehttp://homepage.mac.com/stratocaster1/.Pic...parkle%2011.pnghttp://homepage.mac.com/stratocaster1/.Pic...parkle%2010.png<br />img src=http://homepage.mac.com/stratocaster1/.Pictures/Silversparkle%2011.png<br />img src=http://homepage.mac.com/stratocaster1/.Pictures/Silversparkle%2010.png
slickwillie2 Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 I just bought a 25th Anniversary from kbailey45us for $650 shipped. I thought it was an exceptional deal on an EXCELLENT condition 'under the bed' guitar with mint Hamer case. I also own a Silver P90 Vanguard and although the silver finish sparkles under the lights it is a very thick finish. It is so thick that I have a difficult time reading the serial number on the back of the headstock. Still a great playing guitar. The two guitars are less than 200 guitars apart serial number wise. There is no noticable difference in weight and they are both great players. The biggest difference is in the pickups as the Vanguard has the P90s and the 25th Anniversary the 59/ jb humbucker combination. Slickwillie2
