DavidE Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 1996 Hamer USA P90 Special. It took me several years to find one that wasn't a skinny neck '93 or even '94 but then I rarely touched it once I had it. Figures. Anyway, the prior owner told me he put in pickups from a Gibson Historic P90 Special. I haven't pull the pickups out to check, but will do so upon request of a serious buyer. Comes with the OHSC. The guitar is in nice shape. I'll have to add an in-hand description. CraigS recently borrowed the guitar for a couple of weeks so you can ask him what he thought. He played it more than I have. I can take better photos with my new camera as well. $675 shipped in the continental U.S.
HamerArtist Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Nice lookin' Special, I like that grain.
BCR Greg Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Gorgeous! Those pics DEFINE "full disclosure"!

DavidE Posted December 22, 2007 Author Posted December 22, 2007 The finish is trans red.I would describe the neck as medium. Definitely not larger. I think it's a smidge smaller than the neck on my '96 Artist Custom.
Craig S Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Everyone, sorry I'm weighing in a little late, this is a really nice Special, one of the best I've ever seen actually. It's super super clean!! The pickups in have the "right" P-90 tone to them unlike the Duncans that come stock in these guitars.
DavidE Posted January 13, 2008 Author Posted January 13, 2008 This one is sold. I almost changed my mind after taking it out of the case last night to snap some new photos before meeting Bob at the Ohio Guitar Show today. Pretty unusual and spectacular grain pattern on this one and a decent sized neck. As hard as I try, I guess I can't keep them all....
