FS/FT: Monaco Elite Mahogany

Recommended Posts

2003 Monaco Elite Mahogany available in vintage orange. With the mahogany, this finish looks red in indoor lighting, but is listed as orange on the certificate. The photo below is in direct sunlight. The pickups are DiMarzio PAF Classics; I do not have the originals. It is in very good condition. It has a little normal playwear, but no noticeable dings, gouges, scratches, etc. The frets are in excellent shape, and the guitar/case are smoke-free. OHSC with all the original case candy.

$800 shipped; Paypal is ok.

Trade offers considered.

What's the difference tonally between a special/studio and a Monaco?

I have never owned a Studio or Special, but I have had a couple Artists. This guitar has a thicker and slightly darker tone to it than the Artists I have owned. I would guess that the same would be true in comparison to the Studios.

Mahogany and Humbuckers, you can't go wrong. What is wrong with you people? This is a steal!!!!

I own a Mahogany Studio, (mahogany cap and body). It is a very warm sounding compared to the standard Studio's I have owned. It's pretty basic, no maple cap = warmer guitar.
