WTB - Parts for a guitar build

Recommended Posts

Hi - I don't post much here (browse all the time though), so hopefully this non hamer-related post is alright. I decided I'm going to build a guitar I designed and am in need of all of the parts. It's kind of jazzmaster-influenced, with p-90s... Anyways, I'm looking for:

- Alder wood body blank

- Strat style replacement neck, rosewood fingerboard (Warmoth, WD, etc). 21 or 22 frets (would possibly be interested in a 3&3 bolt-on as well).

- P-90 pickups (Lollar, Duncans ?) I've never had a guitar with p-90s, so i know very little about them - any suggestions/feedback about makers is welcome...

- Hardtail bridge - also, if anyone has seen a hardtail with piezos let me know - i'd love to have one but i don't think anybody makes one...

Since this is the only guitar-related forum I belong to, and I see how much gets bought/sold here, I figured it's worth checking here before I buy new.. I'll do paypal, let me know if you've got anything like this you're wanting to sell... If you're worried about my (lack of) posts, I can give you my ebay info to check feedback there..Thanks.. Andrew

I know you said alder but I do have some really nice swamp ash and korina/limba blanks.

Hipshot hardtail bridge (chrome) like this one.

I also have a set of SD P90s that came out of an Artist Mahogany...rude and crude baby! :)

Schaller make their 3D bridge with a piezo option which will work with both flat (Fender) and angled (Gibson) neck angles.

Google Schaller as i haven't a clue who the US importer is.

sw686blue - I think i'll probably hold out for an alder body, as i'm wanting a walnut stain similar to this: http://www.viewimages.com/Search.aspx?mid=77818269&amp

but I may be interested in your p-90s - let me know the type of SD and how much..

Jem - thanks for the heads up on the Schaller - I'm going to look into that bridge more for sure...

If nothing else, I think I may be able to buy a fishman tele piezo bridge and cut the excess metal off to make a "hardtail" or something like that.

I believe that they are the Custom Soapbar SP90-3 and the Hot Soapcar SP90-2. How about $70 for the pair? They are in great shape with long leads.
