riffpowers Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I nearly spat out my tea when I saw the price of the special!!SpecialSunburst
Thundernotes Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 "1991 Hamer Sunburst USA dating from 1991" Really? I'll bet he works for the Ministry of Redundancy Ministry. Now I don't feel so bad about our version of english!
cornjulio Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I nearly spat out my tea when I saw the price of the special!! Special Sunburst is that a flame top on the special? this guy should add more pics. dunno about the price, that must be like 5000$$$
Rhys Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 is that a flame top on the special? I thought all the early 80s Specials had flame tops? Mine certainly has. Those guitars are WAY overpriced. I paid less than half that for my Special last year. Nobody in the UK is going to buy them - you can't give Hamers away over here at the moment.

Just the ones with a too thin neck can be difficult like the red 1980 special I had but let it go after a couple of months...still around somewhere at wutzdog-guitars.com for something like 850 euros...
riffpowers Posted February 16, 2008 Author Posted February 16, 2008 Around 4-500 quid is probably the going rate, I think I paid about £350 for my 1980 special and saw another one go for not much mor ethan that around the same time last year.
