santellavision Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I think these are very cool. I was going to grab it, but now it's been almost a week and no one else has bought it either. These are basically a Gibby LP Special. So, why hasn't it been sold yet? With the prices of Jr's & Specials going for $10K+ this should be a steal at $2.5K-$3K. What am I missing? '65 Epiphone Coronet
El Kabong Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 There was one painted purple as the pedal test guitar at my local Ishibashi. I never would have dreamed that these are fetching this much.
currypowder Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I have a '64 Coronet in Green Silver Fox finish. It's a tone monster, but the neck is pretty small. If not for the neck, I'd definitely keep it. I had it listed here and on the gear page for $2,500 with no takers. I decided to just keep it for awhile to see if I can get used to it or just wait around to see if the guitar market picks up in the next year or two. Here's a couple of pics (the back shows the color with the silver grain filling better):
murkat Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 @ 2.5k thats about a good deal. its all there, no breaks, the thing just rawks like a mofo. The necks are custom kut purfect ( to my hands at least) Great deal for the loose coin. Deff an sg jr. killer for sure. I'd hit it. ( I use to have a Wilshire)
