Feynman Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 I broke my promise to myself to stop buying $% I don't need, and I just bought this Zoom H2. It's really a very cool portable recorder, and is much more compact than the H4 I used to have, plus now it can record in surround mode. I also have an 'approved' 4GB SD HC card to go with it. The standard 512MB card will be included as well. The cheapest I have found it online (with a 4GB card) is $199. The place I bought it from has a restocking fee, so with those plus return shipment costs, I figure it's easier to just sell it. I opened the box on Friday, so aside from making one recording with it yesterday, I would say it's brand new. I have kept it in my smoke-filled studio in order to give it more mojo. There is plenty of info to be found online, so I won't take pics unless you really want to see them. It looks exactly like it does everywhere else. Naturally, it comes with everything it normally does (windscreen, mini-stand, mic stand adapter, USB, etc) Here's a decent review of it: O'Reilly Review I am thinking $165 shipped would be fair.
Mindseyes Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 These things kick but for geting ideas down on the fly, and with a little trial and error with placement you can get really good recording of band pratices and gigs!!!! I love love love mine and thats a steal for one with the 4gb card.
JGale Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Why am I not surprised anyone named O'Reilly is intimately familiar with "an alien grooming device."
