veatch Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Not mine, no affiliation:Diablo IIReason i post it, is that a single piece neck i see? How common is that? Almost all, if not all, Hamers i've seen after the first few years were three piece necks (except the Triple Threat).
stonge Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 I've owned both Centauras and Diablos that had one-piece necks - seems to be mainly in the 1990-1995 timeframe. The Diablo was originally a loss-leader ($899 list IIRC), and the single-piece necks might have been a small cost savings (Hamer probably still lost money on each unit shipped though). Haven't seen single-piece necks on many of the other models, but I've never had a problem with any Hamer single-piece necks.
atquinn Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 I've had a few Diablos/Diablo II's and they all had 1 piece necks.-Austin
cmatthes Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 T-51s and Daytonas also had one-piece maple necks.
