formula73 Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Mahogany body/neck with real flamed maple cap. The tones have been bypassed and the volumes replaced with CTS pots. Stock (repotted so not microphonic) bridge pickup, SD Jazz neck. There are a couple chips on the back edge of the body and one up on the horn near the switch. I got the back of the hs signed by Elliott Rubinson (CEO) and Dean Z at DOA this year. No fretwear and I just had the nut slots cleaned up so there's no 'ping' when tuning and it stays in tune. Great player, but it's gotta go. It sucks growing up. I'm looking for $700 shipped.
formula73 Posted August 14, 2008 Author Posted August 14, 2008 LOL nah dude the other one is already gone. I sold it a few months back.
Hamer of the gods Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Nice! Always wanted a Caddy, Standard in the front Les Paul in the rear! What is the neck profile on these like? and the weight? Thanks! HOTG
formula73 Posted August 14, 2008 Author Posted August 14, 2008 It's actually pretty light. Me+it-me=7 lbs on the bathroom scale. It's surprising considering how thick the maple cap is. They have a slim C profile and a pretty flat board.
veatch Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Gorgeous Caddy. The Czech made Caddies are *very* well made.
Yoder Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Must be the month to sell the Czech Caddies. I let a guy steal mine last week. I won't divulge the price yet, but you are asking a good price. Mine was in mint condition...unfortunately, I am desperate to unload some gear. Good luck.
BTMN Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 I have played this Grape Ape and it is a nice one!!!
