formula73 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 For those of you who don't know, these were 2 pc Honduras mahogany bodies/necks with rosewood and very rolled, very thick neck binding. Relatively fat C-neck, original Klusons changed for Grovers, original pickups (Super Distortions) changed for Duncan Distortion and a new Super D, brand new 6100s and new bone nut. It will come in a newer Dean Time Capsule case. It's definitely in player shape, with worming on the back and smooth worn spots from a forearm and a gut, but hot damn is it a player. I'm looking for 1200 shipped, because it's big and heavy in the case and it's not going to be cheap. I took a HUGE hit on shipping the last time I sold guitars online. I'm expecting close to or over $100... I didn't make a lot of these modifications, but I'm glad somebody did. Old school Klusons+extreme string angle+poorly cut factory nut=not staying in tune. Now it's stable as hell.
serial Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Looks pretty sweet.Looks VERY sweet. I love my old Deans.
lord nelson Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 How is the neck compared to the Hamer vintage carve (on this and the czech caddy)? Maybe it's time to get a Dean.... What are your views on international shipping?Edit: How red is it? Is the treblehorn on the second picture representative
