tc2 Posted August 22, 2008 Author Posted August 22, 2008 some folks dont like the cream pickups or dont like X2Ns so if someone wants the bass without the pickups I would take less...1050.00 I have forgotten what I paid exactly for the bass (I bought several Hamers around that time CRS is kicking in) but Im pretty sure it was over $1200 and the pickups were around $68 each....
specialk Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 I have zero experience with an 8 string. Can you tell how wide the neck is? Are the additional strings octaves, or some other tuning? Thanks!
tc2 Posted August 22, 2008 Author Posted August 22, 2008 I had 2 other Hamers both 12s and I prefer the 8 string neck plus it doesnt weigh as much. its easy to play and sounds great!it the octave strings are tuned to the normal bass strings in pairs.I will regret getting rid of the bass down the road but I cant afford to buy guitar equipment and keep it.

I do thank you for the info. With those strings tuned in pairs, the sound must be overwhelming! And personally, I like the cream pups! I'm saving up for the guitar of my dreams right now, or I'd be tempted to buy it myself and start playing the bass. +1 on your last sentence.
