zorrow Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I need a good looper for live performance. I want to save several loops and kick them in whenever I like, plus doing some overdubbing and layering live (voice + guitar).I've heard good things about the Boss RC 50, but I'm open to any other brand or model. Thanks in advance!
Thundernotes Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 The RC-50 is huge and very powerful, but complex. The loop-sync (quantization) function is very nice, especially if your timing isn't perfect when hitting the loop button. OTOH, the DigiTech JamMan has higher audio quality and up to 6 hrs of storage, but no loop-sync feature, so there are trade-offs for sure. My DigiTech may be available. I like it, but I just don't use it as much as I thought I would in my solo acoustic act. I have some other gear needs at the moment, so I may have to part with it. Read up on them and drop me a PM if you might be interested.
