Yeah, they are great tuners. Not sure I would go for the expensive rack unit. The smaller units are great too, especially for setting your own Intonation. But, I do that at home, not on stage.

the small clam shell one is great. I use everywhere... rack, pedalboard, bench, etc.

i bought the rack version today.

it was expensive as hell for a tuner, but works very precise

and has many useful features, like the sweeteners.

I've been debating lately which one to get. I have an old VS-I that I LOVE, and I want something for gigs. It is a toss-up for me between all three units: Stroborack, Strobostomp II, and the StroboFlip.

Anyone else have a preference?

I've been using Strobosoft for a couple of years with great results. They just announced v2.0. If you take a laptop to your gigs, this would be a realtively inexpensive solution.

Strobo-flipper here... I love how it clips onto my mic stand. if you have a volume pedal with a tuner out...you just roll back the volume and tune.

Sometimes I sit and watch the vitual strobe while playing... it tracks pretty darn fast.
